My Chemical Romance is a rock band from Jersey City, New Jersey. The group was founded in 2001 by three friends - brothers Gerard and Mikey Way, and their schoolmate Frank Lero. After signing with Eyeball Records, they released their first album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in 2002. Their second album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004) sold over two million copies and earned the band its first Grammy nomination.
The band's third album, 2006's The Black Parade has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling over 1 million copies in the United States alone.[2] It spawned four singles: "Welcome to the Black Parade," "Famous Last Words," "I Don't Love You" and "Teenagers." Keyboardist James Dewees joined the lineup for 2007's Live at Madison Square Garden release which captured live performances from October 18th & 19th of that year at Madison Square Garden arena in New York City on DVD+CD and Blu-ray formats. A greatest hits collection called Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys followed November 22nd, 2010 via Reprise Records spawning only one single titled Na.
