Peaky Blinders is a British gangster drama television series set in Birmingham, England in the 1920s. It was created by Steven Knight and produced by Caryn Mandabach Productions and Tiger Aspect Productions for BBC Two. The six-episode first series aired on 13 September 2013, with subsequent series airing every October/November until the fifth concluded on 15 November 2017. An epilogue episode titled "The thick of it" aired on 25 December 2019.[1] On 9 February 2019, BBC One announced that Peaky Blinders would return for a sixth and final season consisting of eight episodes,[2][3] which began filming in March 2019[4] and will air in May 2020.[5][6]
The program centers around the Shelby family led by Thomas (Cillian Murphy) as they rise from their humble beginnings to become one of the most feared criminal organizations in Britain.
